FAQs

  • I wish I had an answer to that. Every person is unique and so their therapeutic journey is unique as well. I strongly believe in working hard to move from weekly sessions to monthly check-ins to “as needed” refresh sessions. That being said, we work at your pace.

  • The short answer? Whoever will be coming to therapy!

If you are doing individual therapy and you are a legal adult, just you! If you are coming for relationship therapy, all members of the relationship who will be engaging in the therapeutic process should show up. If you are doing parenting support, all primary caregivers should be present. If you feel you have a unique situation not covered here, please reach out and we can find what makes sense.

  • My rates are laid out on the pricing page.

I typically start all my clients at weekly sessions but am open to discussing other schedules, when appropriate.

  • The short answer? It depends. Read up on my blog post “Counseling or Coaching?” to help you decide. You can always schedule a free consultation call and we can determine the best fit for you.

  • I won’t go into what is and isn’t trauma here. The truth is, everyone can use support at some point in their life. Imagine a space where you could find and be your authentic self without fear of judgement, shame, or pressure. Sounds nice, right? That’s just part of what therapy can offer you.

  • That’s completely up to you. My services are time-based. Most clients only need my time in the form of sessions. However, there have been occasions when clients requested I complete forms, write treatment summaries, consult with other providers, or perform other duties outside of sessions. The most cost effective way to handle this is to request that I compete these inside a scheduled session. Otherwise, I will complete and charge my base rate of $160/hour or $75 for tasks that take less than 30 minutes. The other fee structure is legal-related tasks, which are priced at $600 per hour and are described in more detail in my informed consent.
